Where are the ceremony taking place?

Answer

The wedding ceremony will be taking place at Jones Memorial United Methodist Church 2504 Almeda Genoa Rd, Houston, Texas 77047

What time does the wedding ceremony starts?

Answer

The wedding ceremony will start exactly at 6:30 p.m. sharp. Running late is not a option, once 6:30 hits the doors will be locked & no one will be allowed to enter nor exit.

The reception will be taking place at King’s Banquet Hall 2902 Almeda Genoa Rd, Houston, Texas 77047

What time does the reception starts?

Answer

The reception will start at 8:00 p.m.

What is the dress code for the ushers & escorts?

Answer

All escorts & ushers must wear: black & white suit with a emerald green bow & a emerald green handkerchief with black suit shoes .

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

Wedding Guest: Formal Attire. We’re asking our guests NOT to wear the wedding colors please. We just want our wedding party to really stand out. Thank you.

White, emerald green & gold/champagne are to be worn by the WEDDING PARTY ONLY.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both reception & ceremony will take place indoors.

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. Guests can head straight to the reception hall where we will be serving finger foods and beverages.

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend that you arrive an hour before the start of the ceremony, to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled!

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Answer

Both reception & ceremony will be free parking for all guests.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Only the kids that’s apart of the wedding. While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.”

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Answer

The deadline for RSVP is January 1, 2022. You can RSVP online through the link that’ll be sent out to all guests.

Are the ceremony and reception location wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Both reception & ceremony will be wheelchair accessible.

Will food and drinks be served at the reception? What kind of food?

Answer

Yes there will be finger foods & beverages while the bridal party are taking their pictures after the ceremony. Once wedding party arrives to the reception dinner will be served.

Where are you registered?

Answer

We’ve created a honey fund listed on our registry on the Zola website, were our family & friends can donate money for us to go to Jamaica for our honeymoon. We’re also registered at Amazon, that link is also located on the registry page as well.

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Yes, we encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media channels, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #TheThompsonsWedding2022 #JaelynnAndCarlos #FinallyAThompson #ForeverAndAlways #MeetTheThompsons #ThompsonsSayIDo #ThompsonsTieTheKnot #HappilyEverThompsons #MrAndMrsThompson so we can keep track of all of your pictures!
