Travel

Aloha! We’re looking forward to seeing you at our wedding. To make it easier to plan, we have put together some helpful tips for your journey. Please keep in mind, we recommend arriving by Thursday, September 19th as timing would be very tight the day of the wedding.

Flight

Flying to Maui

To get started, we recommend signing up for Hopper or Google Alerts. We expect roundtrip flights will be $400 - $500 round trip per person. Depending on where you’re coming from, Alaska/United/Hawaiian have established routes to Maui. Southwest has announced routes out of a few select cities in California as of March. We have 5% discounts for both Hawaiian Airlines and Alaska Airlines. To use the Hawaiian Airlines discount - follow the URL below and use the discount code "tietheknot19" to purchase the discounted fares. To use the Alaska Airlines discount - head to alaskaair.com and input the discount code "ECMC205" when searching for flights.

House Or Rental

Airbnb & VRBO

Another great option is renting through Airbnb or VRBO. As a reminder, the wedding will be in the Kapalua area and we recommend staying in Kaanapali or Kapalua. This is the best option if you're looking for a house or to split a place with friends/family. As a reminder, please arrive by Thursday, September 19th.

Rental Car

Traveling on Land

Our top recommendation is to rent a car to get around the island. If you have a Costco membership, we recommend booking through Costco Travel. On their website, you can rebook and cancel your previous reservation if you find a lower rate at a later date. Historically, we’ve been able to get a car rental for $30-$40/day. Another good option - there are shuttles from the Kahului Airport to Kaanapali/Lahaina area that start around $60. If you choose to Uber, it is about $150 - $180 one way to the Kaanapali area. We find that renting a car is very useful, especially if you’re interested in visiting different areas of the island.

Hotel

Hotels & Resorts

Due to the varying needs of our guests - we've chosen not to book a block of hotel rooms. With that being said, here are a few hotel recommendations in the Kaanapali area. These hotels are 15-20 minutes from our venue in Kapalua, but are centrally located and on a great stretch of beach. * Aston at The Whaler on Kaanapali Beach (3 star hotel) * Kaanapali Maui at the Eldorado by Outrigger (3 star condos; not beach front but great for families) * Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa (4 star hotel) * Honua Kai Resort & Spa (4 star hotel) * The Westin Ka'anapali Ocean Resort Villas (4 star) For those looking to stay in Kapalua, here are some recommendations: * Kapalua Ridge Villas Resort * The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua (5 star hotel)
