We met at seminary! We soon found out that we had some things in common. We'd both been autodidacts, readers of Latin American literature, and prison volunteers. Tom chose Earlham because of his interest in learning about Quaker spirituality and practice. We ended up being half of an online-only class about preaching and did a lot of studying together. During a 14-day quarantine Tom served as Jade's informal grocery delivery service which often included a stoop side socially-distanced chat. These chats got lengthier and lengthier and by the end of Jade's quarantine we'd become inseparable. Because of covid we have gotten to spend most of the last year together and things have come together quickly. We're looking forward to spending the rest of our lives together and all of the adventures that our ministry together will hold.
