People say that you find love when you least expect it. Well, they’re not joking! It was July 4, 2018. Jade was on her way home from Europe, and Thai was out celebrating the holiday with friends. Little did they know that the beginning of their relationship was going to start with a single “swipe” that night. After some small talk and get-to-know-you questions, Jade and Thai’s newfound match came to a screeching halt. Ya see, Thai told Jade that he had a daughter. Being a bonus mom to a little one was not something Jade had in mind. She didn’t want to ghost him though, so she politely asked about his daughter. Thai proudly shared that his daughter was two years old… and was also a dog. From then on, Jade was hooked. A cute dog dad who could make her laugh? What more could she ask for?! A few days later, Thai asked Jade to go on a first date. He thought rock climbing was a fun idea; however, Jade’s first thought was “absolutely not”. So, after brainstorming nice ways to get Thai to do literally anything else, he finally agreed to grab drinks. On July 17, Thai and Jade met in person for their first date at Century Bar. You could say that it was “love at first sight” for Thai when he saw the sun glowing around Jade while she was helping a sweet older man as she walked through the front door. They ended up talking for nearly four hours. You would think that they had finally run out of things to share but that wasn’t the case. Thai called Jade as soon as he got home and they continued talking and getting to know one another. It didn’t take long for Thai and Jade’s connection to grow. Within a couple of months they had already fallen perfectly into one another’s lives. From brewery hopping to doggie play dates, weekend trips and meeting one another’s friends and family, they realized that their lives were better spent together. Fast forward to now. Thai and Jade are living together as a family, and preparing for the best years of their lives as husband and wife.
