The Cape Winelands’ premier town of Stellenbosch (or "Stellies”) has long been part of our story. For Jacqui, it began during her University of Cape Town days (2010–2013) with wine outings in the rolling hills, rugby clashes against Stellenbosch University’s Maties - where chants of “we speak English!” rang out across the fields - and later, celebrating close friends as they married among the vineyards. For JT, it was a semester abroad at Stellenbosch University (2010) through his Belmont MBA program, where he and his classmates studied the serious business of running a vineyard (no wine before 10 a.m., promise), plotted export schemes that quickly unraveled thanks - already then - to steep U.S. tariffs, and capped most nights at the legendary Tiger White, arm-wrestling South African rugby players. You’ll have to ask JT who won those bouts. Now, we return together to this special place to celebrate our own wedding - and we’re endlessly grateful you’ve traveled so far to join us where so many of our memories (and misadventures) began.
