Robert and Sarah met through Ellie Jacques (Sarah's sister) and Nathan Marincic (Ellie's partner). Ellie and Nathan were bouldering on flagstaff mountain at dusk when a very nice young man approached them and explained "I don't have a headlamp, but I see you guys do. Can I boulder with you?" And that was the start of Robert's friendship with his future sister and brother in law. Flash forward a few years to 2023, Robert held a Friendsgiving at his house and Nathan invited Sarah to come with. During an intense game of Fish Bowl, Robert threw a cube of cheese across the room and Sarah caught it in her mouth. They instantly fell in love.
