Where is the wedding?

Answer

Both our ceremony and reception will be held at the Birkby House, in the heart of downtown Leesburg. The Estate, built in 1770, was once home to a highly- respected craftsman and minister, Thomas Birkby. The venue now carries his legacy and includes the beautifully-preserved Main House, Carriage House, and a recently-added glass Conservatory.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors, weather permitting. The reception will be held indoors.

Will there be transportation provided?

Answer

Yes, there will be shuttles running to and from the Tru Hotel, before and after the wedding.

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes! If you choose to drive, there is plenty of parking at the Liberty Lot, next to the Birkby house. Additionally, the parking garage on Loudoun Street is available.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Please dress in semi-formal attire for our wedding. We are following a "garden party" theme, if you'd like to join! Outfit inspo can be found in the "Gallery" tab.

What is the weather like in Virginia?

Answer

In late August, temperatures are warm, with highs between 75-85. There is a chance of rain, so please check the weather as we get closer to the big day.
