Getting to Portland (flying):
1) You can fly into Portland (PWM), it is just a few miles outside of downtown and the ferry terminal that will take you to Cliff Island.
2) Alternatively, you can fly into Boston Logan Airport and take the Concord Coach Bus to Portland. It leaves directly from the airport on a regular (almost hourly) basis. The trip is 2 hours long and round trip costs $50.

Cliff Island is not accessible by roads. See below for information on ferry and water taxi options. We recommend the ferry for an affordable and enjoyable ride.

Traveling to Cliff Island (from Portland) by Ferry!
Casco Bay Lines easiest way to Cliff Island from Portland. Plan on being on the boat for 50-90 minutes - it's a beautiful trip! The schedule is seasonal and will be updated for June 2022 in early Spring. The cost of a round trip ticket is $11.55. You only need a ticket on your way out to Cliff Island - going back to Portland you are able to board any scheduled ferry. Water Taxi From Portland to Cliff Island
Water taxis are available from Portland Harbor to the public ferry dock on Cliff Island. The trip takes approximately 30 minutes and costs around $100 (can carry up to six people). There are multiple operators; Fogg's is linked below.
