Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

1. Cliff Island: When you RSVP on this website, we offer some details about this option and ask you to indicate if you would be interested in staying on the island. We may not be able to accommodate everyone and will let you know ASAP if you need to make other arrangements. Don't hesitate to reach out if you have questions. 2. Portland - Most hotels on the peninsula are within walking distance to the Ferry Terminal (which will take you to/from Cliff Island). Look up Casco Bay Ferry Terminal to determine distance. Portland's peninsula is a very walkable place. Portland had gotten increasingly expensive. Please let us know if you need help finding a place to stay. -A good budget option in a prime location: https://www.blackelephanthostel.com/ 3. Other: If you will have a car or wish to use a taxi service, the Greater Portland area has lots of beautiful coastline, delicious food, and many Airbnbs and hotels. It is a busy place in the summer, so we recommend you don't hesitate to make arrangements.

Question

How do I get to/from Cliff Island?

Answer

You get to Cliff Island by taking the wonderful Casco Bay Lines ferry! Once on Cliff Island, it is a 15-20 minute walk to the ceremony location, and we will have a someone available to shuttle you to the location if desired. For Saturday (wedding day): To arrive by the 4:00 ceremony time, you will want to take the 12:00 (Noon) boat. It will take about 70-80 minutes to arrive on Cliff Island and you will have a couple hours to explore the island before the ceremony begins. For those not staying on the island, there is a ferry that leaves Cliff Island at 7:00 PM & 10:25 PM. If you need other transportation back to the mainland, please let us know ahead of time.

Question

What about COVID safety?

Answer

We ask that all eligible guests be fully vaccinated and boosted. If invited guests are not vaccinated, we are requiring them to get a PCR test 5 days after their airline travel and have a negative result before coming to the island. All events are scheduled to be outdoors.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer
