The Wedding Website of Jacqueline Garreau and Nathan Putnam
To our out of town guests, we hope you can soak up as much of Idaho as you can while you are here! There are several options in Boise for lodging including hotels and Airbnbs/VRBOs. The venue is about 50 miles north of Boise though it takes over an hour to drive. We highly recommend camping with us Friday & Saturday night so you don't have to drive in the dark. Please be in touch with us about your travel plans/accommodations so we can make sure you are aware of all the options and are comfortable!

House Or Rental

Tent/Camper Camping

Personally, we think this is the best way to experience the beauty of Idaho. The cool night air, the starry sky, the smell of a campfire, the taste of fresh s'mores, the sound of the creek--what's not to love?! This option is also free. The campsites are very close to the main barn which has several bathrooms and showers for campers. Let one of us know if you would like to borrow camping gear as we may be able to outfit a few of you!

House Or Rental

Lazy R Ranch Bunkhouse

There are a limited number of bunkhouses available at the ranch that our families will be using.

Hotel

Hotel in Eagle

The nearest hotel to the venue is in Eagle, ID, about 35 miles away.

House Or Rental

VRBO/Airbnb

The nearest place to rent a house is Garden Valley or Horseshoe Bend.

Travel Note

How To Get To The Ranch

There are two ways to get to Lazy R Ranch. We recommend taking Sweet Ola Hwy (#2). 1. The most direct way is to take Hwy 55 north from Boise through Horseshoe Bend and turn left at the Banks - Lowman Road junction (aka the "put-in" for the Main). This is probably the way your GPS will default to. This will take you up a very steep, winding mountain road with tight corners. This is also a VERY busy junction in the summer months because of all the rafters and kayakers. We do not recommend driving this route in the dark if you are not used to driving in the mountains. 2. Take Hwy 55 north from Boise and turn left at the Hwy 55 & Hwy 52 junction in Horseshoe Bend and take the route through Sweet & Ola. Your map should reroute once you make the turn onto Hwy 52. This will add a few miles and about 20 minutes or so but will have way less traffic and is more ideal for pulling campers. This is the route we recommend. Make sure you load the directions before your head up the mountain as you will lose service shortly after leaving Horseshoe Bend.
