FAQs

Out of town guests: Although this is not a "destination wedding" for us, we recognize that it will take time, money, and energy to attend this wedding on your part. We will be doing a reception in the Chicagoland area to be able to include more people. If by chance you are unable to make it to Idaho, we understand and would love to celebrate with you in Chicago. Details to come. We encourage you to reach out to either one of us if you have questions about ANYTHING, or just to touch base on your travel plans. We know this is a unique wedding weekend and want to make sure everyone is comfortable, happy, and healthy!
Question

Where is the wedding?

Answer

Lazy R Ranch. Check out their website here: https://idahoguestranch.com/wedding/#eluide24d37c3

Question

What is the attire?

Answer

Campfire chic. Wild West formal. Your outdoor best. Whatever floats your boat.

Question

Are kids or pets allowed?

Answer

Kids are totally welcome! The more the merrier. Please let us know in your RSVP if they will be joining you. As much as it pains us to say, unfortunately dogs will not be allowed this weekend.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

You can expect that it will be hot and smokey in August due to the wildfires, though there is plenty of shade at the ranch. There will most likely be a burn ban (meaning no campfires). It may cool off at night, so bring layers!

Question

Are there RV hookups?

Answer

This is copied directly from the Lazy R Ranch website: "There are electrical outlets on the Ranch House and the Barn if needed; However, for practical purposes, I would tell your RV people to plan on being self contained because the most popular spot to put the campers is out by the reservoir where there are no hookups. If the campers need water, they are welcome to come up dry and fill their tanks from one of the water faucets at the ranch. The water is great and comes from an Artesian well!"

Question

What Should I Bring?

Answer

-Bring your favorite barbecue dish to share potluck style at the reception! -A barbecue dinner and beer/wine will be provided at the reception on Saturday. Please let us know in your RSVP if you have any food restrictions (allergies, intolerances, etc). We will have light brunch food (bagels, eggs, yogurt) available for our out of town guests, but we also recommend bringing your own food & snacks. -Bring your favorite lawn/camp games! -Bring your swim suit and fishing poles. There is a small pond at the venue for the kiddos to fish, and the Payette River is just down the mountain.
