With Sugar Bowl only being open to our guests July 14 - 16, one of the perks is having private access to Sugar Bowl's Lake Mary and hiking trails. Lake Mary activities including swimming, paddle boarding, etc.
Old 40 Bar & Grill
If you are looking for a close bite to eat, "across the street" from Sugar Bowl is Donner Ski Ranch's Old 40 Bar & Grill. It's considered Donner Summit's favorite dive bar and grill.
Palisades Tahoe Aerial Tram
25 Miles from Sugar Bowl This panoramic 10-minute ride soars above the iconic Tram Face, offering stunning mountain vistas and beautiful views of Lake Tahoe itself, ending at Palisades Tahoe's High Camp. High Camp is located at 8,200 feet above sea level.
Donner Memorial State Park
13 Miles from Sugar Bowl Donner Memorial State Park is located in the scenic Sierra Nevada mountain range at an elevation of about 6,000 feet. This legendary alpine park offers summer camping, picnicking, boating, fishing, water-skiing, and hiking. Visitors are welcome year-round to visit the famous Pioneer Monument, built to commemorate the California emigrants traveling west during the mid-1800's. The Visitor Center features compelling exhibits that illuminate the Emigrant Experience, the Donner Party, the Land of the Washoe, Chinese construction of the railroad, and early motoring adventures over Donner Pass.

19 Miles from Sugar Bowl This is a paved trail running from the trailhead at Glenshire Dr. to the Truckee River Regional Park. Moderate inclines and smooth path make this a great ride with views of the Truckee River and the High Sierra crest.
