Please RSVP no later than August 1, 2021.
We recommend a semi-formal attire, which could include: shirts & slacks, a jacket if you'd like, cocktail dresses, pantsuits, midi skirts or dressy jumpsuits. If weather permits, the ceremony will take place on the venue's back lawn, so consider practical footwear.
Highs are typically in the mid-70s and lows are in the low-50s. A jacket is never a bad idea!
To maintain the intimate feel we want for our event and limit potential for unsafe exposure due to a large group gathering, we're limiting plus ones. Please stick to the guests listed on your invite, but if you have questions, reach out to either Kelsey or Jake.
We recommend arriving 15 - 30 minutes prior to the ceremony start at 4:15pm.
The venue has both an open air space and covered pavilion, overlooking the Gauley River. The ceremony will be in the open air space, weather permitting. If the skies open up, both the ceremony and reception will take place in the pavilion.
Yes, there is plenty of free parking at the Wilderness Lodge.
We are lucky to already have so many nieces (eight) and one nephew (hi Thatcher!) in the family. To keep the evening relaxing, we are limiting kids to immediate family only so we appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time. Pets are not allowed at the venue, with the special exception of Lucy and Sequoia.
COVID-19 remains an ongoing pandemic and a situation that we do not consider lightly. We are blessed that all of our family members and most of our friends have been fully vaccinated as of June or earlier. We are both vaccinated as well and encourage you to get vaccinated to protect yourself and others. We request any non-vaccinated attendees continue to wear a mask and follow social-distancing protocols per West Virginia's regulations and guidelines. As much as we want to see everyone we care about, we request you refrain from attending if you feel sick or have been around others who may be sick. We respect any decisions to not attend our event due to concerns about personal health and safety.
