Maid of Honor
My favorite sister by far and my built in best friend. I can say with 100% confidence that there has never been and and never will be a better maid of honor than Teagan. She is the epitome of helpful, supportive, kind, loving and so much more, I could go on for forever. Teagan is at UW right now, following Jake's footsteps in molecular biology. Neither one of us ever had the grades she has though! Teagan is the most brilliant, talented, up-for-anything, compassionate person with the most hysterical dry sense of humor. She also loves her niece, Sage, like no other. All I can say is "I love you, Honey!"
Groomsman
Anthony's dad was in the Air Force, so he has lived all over the world. He moved to Cheyenne, WY and attended Central High School where he met Jacob. They were BFF's all through school and went to college at UW together. That is when I first met Anthony! He lived on the same floor that Jacob and I did. Anthony quickly became one of my best friends too. He has the most infectious laugh and the greatest sense of humor. I don't think there is anyone I have cried laughing with more than him. Anthony now lives in San Antonio and is in the Navy. Jacob and I had to fight over him and whether or not he would be a groomsman or a bridesmaid.
Bridesmaid
Michelle moved to Cody when we were in 7th grade—we met in choir class! Honestly, it was love at first sight. Our relationship quickly progressed, and we merged our two lockers. I would say I have been inseparable from her ever since. She is the most loyal friend anyone could have. Since we graduated high school, we have lived in different states, but we always find time to see each other. Every time we get together it feels like a re-charge for my heart. I am forever grateful for her, and I really think she might be my soulmate!
Groomsman
Nick is from Cheyenne, WY, and Jacob and Nick knew each other for most of their childhoods. All of Jake's best high school stories/memories involve Nick! I first met Nick the beginning of our freshman year at UW when he would come to see all of the rest of the Cheyenne gang! If you want to laugh and have the best time at the wedding, just find Nick and follow him! Wherever he goes there is a good time. Not only is he the life of the party, but he is such a good person and good friend. He is the kind of friend where we can sing karaoke all night together or just have long, heartfelt phone conversations.
Bridesmaid
Cydney is my longest lifetime friend! We were both around 5 years old when her family came to Cody for the first time for the rodeo. We instantly became best pals!! Cydney spent every year thereafter in Cody from June-August only. The other 9 months of the year were absolutely miserable without her, but we stayed in touch as pen pals. I still have all of our love letters we wrote back and forth over the years. We really have grown up together and grown together. Many of my best memories in life include her. Cydney is an incredible friend, and I am so thankful for her every day.
Groomsman
Grayson is also from Cheyenne, WY. He currently lives in Portland, OR and is an engineer. He also throws the hammer reallllly reallllly far. Again, all of the stories I hear from Jacob's growing up include Grayson. He is by far the nicest of our group. When we are all together, there is always one person that gets hackled, and Grayson always has that person's back. He has the best energy always and is just a fun person to be around. When the Thompson family took a trip out to the West Coast last summer, we all stopped by to see Grayson. He really is just a member of the family at this point! Another reason I love Grayson is because I can always depend on him to finish my food if I get too full.
Bridesmaid
Becca is from South Dakota, and we met the summer before our freshman year of college during an orientation for molecular/microbiology at UW. We decided we had to be roommates! It was one of the best decisions. Becca was the greatest roommate anyone could have ever had. We had WAY TOO much fun together. Jake also lived on our floor, so she was my wing-woman in tricking him into liking me! Becca is the smartest and kindest nurse you will ever know and one of the best friends, too. I love her so dearly and cherish our friendship.
Groomsman
Oh Trevor, where to even begin! Trevor is from Casper, WY, and... you probably guessed it— he also lived on our floor our freshman year of college. That is when Jake and I first met him. Trevor is now in Law School at UW. During undergrad, Trevor, Jacob and Jacob's brother John all lived together. Those years with John and Trevor are some of Jacob's favorite. Also, we got Sage when Jacob lived there, so Trevor is her godfather. Trevor is one of those friends that I can share ANYTHING with or be serious or absolutely crazy and wild with, and he just feels like home when I am with him. Jacob won rock-paper-scissors and that is why he is on the groom's side and not my side!! One of my favorite things about Trevor is he will just show up to our house for spontaneous Chili's or DQ trips.
Bridesmaid
Isabella is from the heart of the Big Apple! She studied Western Art at Harvard and decided to come to Cody for an internship at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West. A proctor at her college was from Wyoming and knew my mom, so he put them in contact. We picked Isabella up from the airport and brought her to dinner, and it already had felt like I had known her for years. We truly had an instant connection, and it felt like fate had dropped her into my life! Isabella is down for an adventure at any point in time. She makes me laugh like no other and we have the best conversations. I already know we will be on the phone as old ladies, probably having the same discussions!
Groomsman
Ethan is from Casper, WY and now currently lives and works in the cold part of the country—Yuma, AZ. Jacob and I met Ethan our first year at UW through Jacob's fraternity- PIKE [best fraternity out there]! He is always the best dressed, most put together, and stoic person in a room. I have a lot of memories of him pinning Jacob to the ground or putting him a head lock though, and I also have pictures to prove it if Jacob tries to deny! Ethan is a great friend and I have already seen the future: the three of us growing old together and going on fun vacations. Also we really bond over our love for the USA and firearms.
Bridesmaid
Well, well, well... Sierra is from Laramie, WY! The first thing I ever heard about Sierra was from her sister who was in my sorority (the best one obviously—Kappa Kappa Gamma). I always heard about how fun, cool, outdoorsy, funny she was... and she went to Dartmouth. She exceeded all expectations though! I met her on our first day of medical school and instantly wanted to be friends, and look at us now! She is the life of the party, so brilliant, so genuine, and makes medical school so much more enjoyable. I also know she is a friend for a lifetime! (We are sisters too, which further strengthens our bond... KKG for life)
Groomsman
Joe is from Laramie, WY and recently graduated from UW Law so he's an attorney! He went to UW for undergrad and met Jacob freshman year through his fraternity, PIKE! It was always a debate if Joe was "Taylor's friend" or "Jacob's friend" though. Joe and I both worked in Washington DC one summer, but on opposite sides of the Capitol. Joe was working for the House and I was working for the Senate, and we had TOO much fun {WMR}. Joe and Jacob bond over their love of the outdoors, fishing, government, reading books about oil, American history, etc. Luckily Joe married the coolest lady ever, Jessie Rubino, so we can talk about more interesting things. We are very thankful for both of their friendships and know they are lifetime friends!
Bridesmaid
My YES WOMAN! Holly is from Green River, WY and went to school at UW. Crazy enough though, we never crossed paths in undergrad a single time! And honestly I feel very jipped by that! I wish I could have had her as a friend for those four years because she is the best kind of friend to have. She is absolutely hysterical —any day I need a smile, I just find Holly. I can also talk to her about anything and everything. Jake had met her in undergrad though, and when he found out we would be in med school together he said he knew we would become friends. So I already considered her a friend before we even started school! Holly is the best study buddy, and I know she will be my yes woman for the rest of my life!
Groomsman
*Family game night member!* Cooper is Taylor's brother, but he is team Jacob now. He is currently a junior at the US Coast Guard Academy—very proud of him. When Jacob, Cooper, and I are all together there is never a dull moment. I have a lot of memories talking to Cooper about my relationship with Jacob, and he was always so encouraging and excited for us to get married. Cooper is the best advice giver, music listener, brother, and uncle to Sage.
Bridesmaid
Luiza!! Luiza is from Brazil and moved to Pinedale, WY when she was in high school. She is the definition of success, ambition, strength, and perseverance. I met Luiza in classes in undergrad and we would study together and stress each other out, and not much has changed to today! The stars aligned and we finally made it into medical school, so now we study and stress together about that! I always prayed we would be accepted the same year though because I really rely on her for support, spontaneous dates, puppy dates, and everything. She is an incredible friend and I am forever grateful for her friendship.
Groomsman
Jacob's youngest best pal, also known as Taylor's youngest brother. Carter is an absolute stud on the soccer field, basketball court & tennis court. He is an amazing flyfisher and hunter too!! Jacob, Carter, and I have some great memories fishing together, but Carter always outfishes both of us! It is hard to believe, but he is starting his freshman year of high school this year. Carter was only 7 years old when he first met Jacob, and he glued onto him right away. I still have a message saved that Carter sent to Jacob that says, "you are too good for taylor." I don't think his feelings have changed! Haha!
Honorary Best Man
Brother. Son. Grandson. Nephew. Friend. Gone too soon from this world. There is an undeniable void in all of our hearts with his absence, but our memories of John are rich and precious. John was an adventurer at heart, and his pride was working as a firefighter in Cheyenne. He will always be Jacob's beloved younger brother, and we miss him deeply. He will be in our minds and hearts on our wedding day, as he is every day. John Lawrence Kennedy 10/17/97 - 11/7/19
