We absolutely love Park City! Hit up main street for shopping, bars and restaurants. If you're staying in Kimball Junction, you can easily take public transit or hop in an uber to get downtown.
Utah Olympic Park sits in the hills above Park City, about 25 miles from Salt Lake City. Built for the 2002 Winter Olympics, it's now a training facility for future Olympic athletes—but it's also open to everyone! You can't miss those massive ski jumps when driving into Park City. You can ride the actual Olympic bobsled track, zip line, hit the alpine slide, or catch the Fly Aces ski jumping show. In summer, try tubing down the ski jump landings! The park also has the Alf Engen Ski Museum and new athlete housing. Open daily 9am-6pm
We love High West, neither of us our whiskey fans yet, this is one of our favorite places to go. They offer tours, tastings, or you can stop in for brunch or a meal. We recommend making a reservation before you go though. Make sure you check out the stunning views from the property as well! High West Distillery's main location is in Wanship, Utah. It's situated within the Blue Sky Ranch, requiring a shuttle ride from a private parking lot. If you can't make it to this location, High West also has a tasting room in Downtown Park City.
One of our favorite watering holes in downtown Park City! Stop in for a burger, a beer, and hang out on their rooftop patio! If you come here later in the evening, you might have to a pay a small cover to get in.
Looking for some live music in Downtown Park City? Stop in at the Spur! The Spur often has live music upstair and in back bar. We recommend going straight to the back bar for the best experience. If you come here later in the evening, you might have to a pay a small cover to get in.
Some of our favorite food in downtown Park City! This is a great place to stop if your looking to have a nicer meal. We recommend trying the Tequila Verde :)
We love the Armstrong Trail! It's about 4 miles with a nice steady climb through beautiful aspen trees. The trail is mostly shaded and gives you gorgeous mountain views.
Rob's Trail is such a local favorite! It's about 8.8 miles out-and-back and moderately challenging The trail winds through beautiful aspen groves and pine trees with tons of shade, then opens up to amazing views of Park City Mountain Armstrong Mountain Bike Trail, Park City, Utah.
If you have the time, we highly recommend staying for a few days in Salt Lake City!
Early summer is the perfect time to check out Red Butte botanical garden. We love to grab dinner downtown then head to Red Butte and walk through the Gardens. Tickets are $16. Red butte also hosts concerts in the Summer. Definitely check out their schedule if you are interested.
Urban Hill is some of the best food we've had in Salt Lake. It is on the pricier side but it's 100% worth it. Make sure you make a reservation before heading in!
A great place to stop for a burger and a drink (we recommend the lychee ice).
Another one of our favorites in the Liberty Park area! A great spot if your craving mexican food.
If your making a pit stop in the Liberty Park area, this place is a must! The place is decked out in an eclectic collection of antique furniture and decorations. We always stop here after dinner at LOLA or East Liberty Tap House.
Drink your way through SLC. This is the best way to get to see SLC's nightlife
One of our favorite hikes near SLC! She's a steep one, so make sure you bring the proper gear. Hiking boots, camelback, and hiking poles.
This hike is about 40 minutes north of downtown SLC, but it's one of our favorites. This hike has two waterfalls, one is about 0.5 miles in if you are not looking to do the full hike. To get to the second waterfall, you will hike through some beautiful pines and next to a stream.
Solid pizza stop in downtown SLC. And yes that is Post Malone in the picture, apparently he loves Settebello too! Settebello is also connected to a gelato place called Capo Gelato (you'll see it on the way in), be sure to grab some gelato here if you stop by Settebello.
Lake effect has live music throughout the week! Upstairs is a bar/restaurant while downstairs has an old style speakeasy vibe. This place has great food and great drinks. There is literally a book of cocktail options to pick from, so there's something for everyone here. Also the shrimp tacos are to die for.
