Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Ryan Higgins and Jacob Gavrilov
We'd love for you to make the most of your time in NYC! Here are some of our favorite places and things to do. Let us know what you end up exploring.
Brooklyn Heights Promenade

Brooklyn Heights Promenade

Brooklyn Heights Promenade, Brooklyn Heights, NY 11201

For the best views of Manhattan, this is one of our favorite spots. You'll see the skyscrapers, the ferries and boats all over the harbor, and you'll walk past some incredible mansions on the way.

Brooklyn Botanic Garden

Brooklyn Botanic Garden

Brooklyn, NY 11238

We've spent a lot of time walking through these gardens at all times of year. Ryan's favorite part is the greenhouse of bonsai - they're so old! Jacob loves wandering the rose garden and also the view from the top of the hill.

Death Becomes Her (Broadway)

Death Becomes Her (Broadway)

205 West 46th Street, New York, NY 10036

We've seen this show three times! But we'd recommend any show on Broadway - definitely see a show if you can. Other favorites include "Maybe Happy Ending", "The Lion King" (of course), and "SIX".

The Met Cloisters

The Met Cloisters

99 Margaret Corbin Drive, New York, NY 10040

This museum is a journey from Brooklyn, but features really cool European architecture, a garden of poisonous plants, and a room of unicorn tapestries. Definitely a fun adventure!

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

1000 5th Avenue, New York, NY 10028

We’ve spent a few of our favorite dates at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and we never get tired of it. Jacob loves the Egyptian galleries, while Ryan gravitates toward modern and contemporary art, and we usually meet somewhere in between and keep wandering.

The High Line

The High Line

New York, NY 10011

We love starting a walk at Little Island or the Whitney Museum of American Art, then heading onto the High Line. It’s one of our favorite ways to spend an afternoon, slowly walking north, taking in the greenery and all the fancy architecture along the way, until you eventually end up at Hudson Yards. It's easy, scenic, and fun!

Tenement Museum

Tenement Museum

103 Orchard Street, New York, NY 10002

This museum has fascinating historic tours about what life used to be like in NYC. Every time we go, we come away learning something new.
