Back in 2018, Becca attended a birthday bonfire for groomsmen Zach Marlow. It's there, some boy would drunkenly stumble up and hold on to her for what felt like dear life. And because she's not a monster, she grabbed hold of him and helped him stay upright. That boy, was Jake Lowry. It was easy to forget she was holding him up, because they could not stop talking. They talked nonsensically for about an hour before Jake had to excuse himself to hurl. That's where the night would end and Becca would make a speedy get away. Becca and Jake's paths wouldn't cross again until 2020 at a friend's birthday party. There, after some obvious flirting, Jake would come to realize the guy Becca brought with her was not her gay best friend. It was her new boyfriend. After that disappointing realization, Jake and Becca remained just friends. In 2022, their paths crossed again, this time on the same volleyball team.
