Nina and Jake met during their sophomore year at Colorado State University, thanks to a mutual friend (shoutout to Meredith Harrison) who introduced them at Jake’s fraternity house. What started as a casual introduction quickly turned into a long conversation, and they both knew there was an immediate connection. Over the next few years, they spent as much time together as possible. Through countless afternoons, long drives exploring the mountains, study sessions, late-night parties, and many more shared experiences, they discovered just how much they had in common and how naturally close they had become. After graduation, they navigated a year of long-distance while starting their professional careers. Even apart, their bond remained strong, and it became clear that they wanted to be together full-time. Eventually, Nina moved to Sacramento to join Jake, and together they’ve been enjoying the adventure of building a life side by side. They feel grateful for the friends and community they’ve found in their new city, and excited for all the next chapters they’ll share together.
