The St. Louis Zoo is one of our first date spots. The Zoo itself is notably one of the best free zoo’s in the world. Located in the iconic Forest Park, the home of the 1904 World’s Fair, there is a lot to do and see in and around the Zoo.
St. Louis’s Italian neighborhood with multiple classic Italian restaurants like Zia’s and Lorenzo’s Trattoria. You also can’t go wrong with the gooey butter cake from Missouri Baking Co.
The Gateway to the West will only be a couple yards away from the ceremony. There should be plenty of time to walk around and take photos between the ceremony and cocktail party. Going up into the arch is always a great way to get a good view of the city and the Mississippi River.
Any Imo’s pizza spot will do. This iconic chain, home of the innovative St. Louis style pizza is a must try if you’ve never had it. St. Louis style pizza substitutes traditional cheese for St. Louis’ very own Provel cheese which tends to have a creamier smokey flavor than a traditional mozzarella, on a “cracker” thin crust. Truly a St. Louis staple.
This is always a cool place to get lost in for a few hours. Lots of things to climb and places to explore.
Another great spot in Forest park, there are always great art exhibits if you need a place to escape the heat but still want that Forest park experience.
