We first met studying down in the basement of our dorms at Texas Tech. At the time, he was more of my teacher trying to push me through nursing school pre-requisites. His teaching isn't what made me change my major by the way; it was physiology. Jump forward a 1 year later to a Halloween party. Our friend Tori took us both aside and made us realize that maybe we should give this a try since we would always hang out and go out together anyway! From that night, we have been inseparable. We made plans with Taylor and Dylan (see wedding party tab) to go out to a really cool bar on New Year's Eve in 2017. It was going to be a normal NYE, or so Lacie thought. Little did she know, Jacob had been planning a proposal for a few weeks and Taylor and Dylan were both in on it. So much so, that they knew all the plans before Lacie ever did. We were leaving to head into Dallas, Taylor and Dylan both poised in their areas in from of the house and when Lacie walked out the door... BOOM! The question was popped. And, Jacob royally screwed up what he planned to say. BUT, she still said yes anyway and she even cried so something was done right! We then went out for NYE and had the best time as a newly engaged couple!
