There are over 100 breweries in San Diego County. We intend to visit them all, but haven't gotten around to it yet. https://sandiegobeer.news/brewery-list/ A couple of our favorites: North Park Brewing, Pure Project Brewing, Kilowatt Brewing and Little Miss Brewing (disclaimer: we have a financial stake in Little Miss). We're happy to provide suggestions based on beer preferences!
For the museum-minded there are museums ranging from the USS Midway (longest-serving aircraft carrier) in downtown to Natural History, Air & Space, and Art in Balboa Park, and Old Town (San Diego's colonial period). We live near the Midway, our first date was walking in Balboa Park, and we got engaged in Old Town (also margaritas). https://www.sandiego.org/explore/things-to-do/arts-culture/museums-galleries.aspx
Baseball Our one remaining professional sports team, the Padres. Fabulous stadium! https://www.mlb.com/padres/schedule/2025-09 Soccer San Diego FC (men's inaugural year 2025) and San Diego Wave FC (women's).
