The French Quarter Festival
Celebrate local New Orleans culture at the French Quarter Festival this Thursday, April 16th through Sunday, April 19th! FQ Fest is one of the biggest free music festivals in the US. It’s very locals-focused, totally free to attend, and packed with live music (jazz, funk, brass bands), food booths, and stages along the Mississippi River! Don’t forget to grab a to-go cup from a nearby bar before strolling over!
Piano On A Truck at Coliseum Square
On Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at 6 - 7 PM, local artist André Bohren will be performing from his one-of-a-kind “Piano on a Truck,” set up near the corner of Race and Coliseum Street. Enjoy a beautiful mix of classical favorites by Frédéric Chopin, Franz Schubert, Sergei Rachmaninoff, Claude Debussy, and more. Bring a chair/blanket, your favorite drinks/snacks, and a few friends for an evening of live music from our favorite neighborhood park! And since this is New Orleans, feel free to grab a to-go cup from a nearby bar and stroll over, it’s all part of the experience!
Wednesday at the Square
Wednesday at the Square is a beloved springtime tradition in New Orleans—basically a weekly outdoor concert + happy hour rolled into one from 5 - 8 PM! Enjoy free live music from Corey Henry & The Treme Funktet on Wednesday, April 15th in Lafayette Square. The park comes alive with local artists, food vendors, pop-up shops, and plenty of that signature New Orleans energy!

One of our favorite roof top bars that gives you a panoramic view of down town, less than half a mile away or a 2 minute uber!

Old school brewery just a street over from the hotel, for good locally brewed beer! Our favorite is the Sonic Youth IPA!

If your looking for more variety, avenue pub has a great drink selection, upstairs balcony, and solid food as well. Also it's only a 4 minute walk from the hotel!

Best Pizza in the city only 3 blocks away from the Lower Garden District Hotel!

Bottomless Vodka Brunch right around the corner from the hotel! Very New Orleans style cuisine.
