During Covid, we spent a lot of weekends up in Hudson, FL. Kaila's parents were remodeling a house and enlisted the help of Kaila, her siblings, and friends. Together, we would work all day sifting rocks, landscaping, and doing demo work. After the long days, we would all play games, watch movies, and occasionally go line dancing (when Kaila could convince them). Throughout the weekends working, we both started noticing one another as more than just friends. Many months into the project, we were leaving for the weekend. In saying our goodbyes, we decided we wanted to see more of each other before going back up the next weekend. That week, Jacob took Kaila on our first date to Top Golf (we were both terrible) and out to dinner. From there we spent more and more time together realizing how well we meshed. Three years later, Jacob took Kaila to Bok Tower Gardens. We had talked about going to the gardens as one of our first few dates was to Sunken Gardens in St. Pete. Unbeknownst to Kaila, Jacob had big plans for this date and a ring in his pocket! After exploring the beautiful gardens, Jacob found a secluded, winding path with giant overhanging trees and blooming brush. Walking along the path, Jacob stopped Kaila and got down on one knee! Obviously, Kaila said yes! Now, we get to celebrate our love and union with all of you!
