Maid of Honor
Emily is a fellow UCLA Bruin and an absolutely fierce friend. Although we lived in the sorority houses next door to each other (I was an Alpha Phi, Emily was a Chi Omega) and had an incredibly similar group of friends, it still blows my mind that we didn't know each other in college. We became friends after college and lived together for two years in an adorable townhouse in the Hillcrest neighborhood of San Diego and those two years in Hillcrest were some of the happiest times, filled with wine nights, internet rabbit holes, concerts, charcuterie boards, dance parties, bachelor marathons, and deep heart-to-heart conversations. Emily is the biggest hypewoman and my main confidant, I can always count on Em for an honest and well thought-out opinion, one which I value more than nearly anyone else's.
Best Man
Regis was one of Jacob's first friends at UCLA, but coincidentally, Jenna knew him first. Like Jenna, Regis went to Poway High School, where they ran cross country together. Jacob met Regis during move-in of their freshman year at UCLA, as they lived on the same floor of their dormitory. They ultimately pledged the same fraternity (which, funny enough, Jenna had recommended to Regis), and formed a tight-knit friendship. Following college graduation, Regis also moved to San Diego, and the two of them have remained extremely close since. Fun fact: Regis beat Jacob in a taco eating contest freshman year, in which the former housed 14(!) tacos from De Neve dining hall.
Matron of Honor
Kim and I technically met in fifth grade when we played summer basketball, but we really became friends in seventh grade, where we would pass notes in language arts class. We have been best friends ever since, and have shared more laughs, tears, hugs, and ran more miles together than I could ever count. She is like a sister to me (we frequently get asked if we are related) and I am lucky to have grown up with her. I am so thankful for her love and continued support throughout my life. I love that no matter the distance or the time we have spent apart, we always pick up right where we left off. We made a promise to each other when we were in seventh grade at the beach in Del Mar that we would be bridesmaids in each other’s weddings. Standing by her side on her wedding day was one of my greatest honors, and I can’t imagine my own wedding day without her by my side.
Best Man
Kam is one of Jacob's oldest friends. They met in their 7th grade Video Production class, when Kam noticed that Jacob produced killer videos. Though Kam went to Boulder for college, they never lost touch. Following graduation, Kam moved to San Francisco, but every time they see each other, it feels as if no time has passed. Jacob and Jenna have also enjoyed getting to know Jane, his better half, over the years. Fun fact: Kam is the only groomsman who is legally married.
Bridesmaid
Amanda is one of the kindest, sweetest, and most thoughtful individuals I have ever met. She is engaged to Hayden (our dear friend, officiant, and groomsman) and although we have only known each other for three years, it feels as if we have been friends forever. The determination and passion she applies to reach her goals is truly admirable. Beyond that, the way she carries herself inspires everyone around her to approach life with the same kindness, love, care, and grace that she does. I cannot wait to help her plan her dream wedding and stand by her side as she marries the love of her life, and I cannot imagine my own wedding day without her by my side, every step of the way.
Officiant & Groomsman
Hayden and Jacob met during their first quarter of college when they pledged the same fraternity, though they become much closer later in college (when they moved into a shared apartment) and post-graduation. Over the past several years, Jacob and Hayden (and Jenna) have shared countless great memories in San Diego, Hayden's hometown of Hughson, CA, and at the Life is Beautiful festival in Las Vegas. Jacob and Jenna have also gotten to know Hayden's fiancé Amanda very well, and she is now a part of Jenna's wedding party. Fun fact: Hayden has visited all 50 states. Wow!
Bridesmaid
Haley is another fellow UCLA Bruin and my "little sis" from our Alpha Phi sorority. I love that while we are so different, we are also very similar. We celebrate our differences by being each other's cheerleaders throughout our highs and lows, and I am so proud of the strong, beautiful, intelligent, and driven woman she has grown into over the last ten years of our friendship. Standing by Haley's side on her wedding day was one of my greatest honors, and she has shown me what true love for a friend looks like. And watch out for this girl on the dance floor, she is a Los Angeles Laker girl and will dance circles around everyone!
Groomsman
James is Jenna's younger brother. James has always treated Jacob like a member of the family, and Jacob has enjoyed getting to know him and watching him grow up over the years. Some of Jacob's favorite memories with James have been during their shared time with Jenna's family in Hawaii (where James, a first lieutenant in the U.S. Marine Corps, is now stationed). Fun fact: James is a Divemaster, which is just one of the reasons he prefers living in Oahu over his previous residence of Twentynine Palms.
Bridesmaid
Lauren might be her first name, but we have always called her Mingee! A fellow UCLA Bruin, Alpha Phi sorority sister, and UCLA campus tour guide, she has been one of my closest friends for the last ten years. And fun fact, Mingee is also getting married to a guy who was in the same fraternity as Jacob! It brings me so much joy that we get the privilege of experiencing so many more significant life events together. I think the absolute world of Mingee. She possesses so much love for everyone around her, and she shares it unconditionally. She is stuck with me, because this is a life thing! :) I am so honored to stand by her side on her wedding day, and I can’t imagine my own wedding day without her by mine.
Groomsman
Jack was another of Jacob's first friends at UCLA, and coincidentally also attended Poway High School (along with Jenna and Regis). Jacob and Jack lived on the same floor their freshman year, were members of the same pledge class, and lived in a shared apartment their junior and senior years. After college, Jack also moved to San Diego, and the two have maintained a close friendship since. Fun fact: Jack has an identical twin brother Will who is also invited to the wedding. Hopefully we grabbed a photo of the right one!
Bridesmaid
A fellow UCLA Bruin and Nat was actually friends with Jacob in college! We didn't become friends until after college, and honestly sometimes I forget we haven’t been friends for our entire lives. There is nobody who likes a pun more than this girl, and she can always make me laugh when I am feeling down. Natalie is an amazing listener and while I value that so much, I think my favorite thing about her is her kind heart. She listens to everything I have to say without judgment, and I know I can always rely on her for an honest opinion (and not just about gray hairs). I know she will always have my back, and I truly can’t imagine my wedding day without you by my side, Nat.
Groomsman
Jacob met James during college orientation, and they ultimately ended up pledging the same fraternity. In the years that followed, the two lived in the fraternity house together, shared an apartment, and each moved down to San Diego. Having grown up in San Diego, James absolutely loves the city, and Jacob has enjoyed visiting some of James' favorite places with him over the past few years. Fun fact: Despite his affinity for San Diego, James is one of just a few people we've met who doesn't much care for La Jolla.
Bridesmaid
Kayla is another UCLA Bruin, Alpha Phi sorority sister, and UCLA campus tour guide. Throughout the last ten years of our friendship, she has made me laugh more than anyone else. But not only have we laughed together, we have supported each other, cried with each other, listened to each other, embraced each other’s mutual weirdness (shrek is love), given each other haircuts, gone to more concerts than I can count, and celebrated one another’s accomplishments. Not only does she have the brains, but she has the beauty, the best sense of humor, and impeccable taste in music. No matter the distance or the time apart, it always feels like we saw each other yesterday and I cherish our friendship.
Groomsman
Jacob and Nolan were also members of the same pledge class, but grew much closer post-college. In that time, the two have travelled together a handful of times while also developing close relationships with each other's significant others (and pets!). Fun fact: In high school, Nolan was both ASB President and quarterback for the football team.
Bridesmaid
Karen and I met through mutual friends, and she lived with Jacob and two other boys for three and a half years in Little Italy San Diego. I was definitely intimidated by her when we first met. I mean, who willingly lives with and basically takes care of three boys in a small apartment?! But I quickly learned she would be one of my closest friends. I love that she is unapologetically herself, filled with witty comebacks, thoughtful opinions, and sometimes some savage sass. I also appreciate that she is always there for me when I need someone to talk to, even though she lives in Washington now. I am pretty sure her bachelorette and wedding weekends were two of the best weekends I have ever had, so I have some high standards to live up to in this coming year.
Groomsman
Jacob met Peter at a concert in San Diego in 2018, which ultimately led to a shared trip to Nashville for Bonnaroo and several years of living together. The two grew close as roommates during the Covid lockdown period, where they bonded over their mutual love of music, food, and board games. Fun fact: Peter played college water polo for Fordham University, but never learned how to swim.
Mutt of Honor
Our Josie girl! We welcomed Josie into our lives in July of 2020. She has brought so much love, laughter, fun, and chaos into our lives. We're not quite sure what her role is going to be on our wedding day, but we know she will be a VIP (Very Important Pupper)! :)
