Neither of us can pinpoint the exact day we met, but the first time we really got to know each other was at a UCLA Beta fraternity party in the spring of 2014. Although Jacob was just a freshman while Jenna was a junior (cougar!), we realized almost immediately how much we had in common. It didn't take long before we were going to concerts together, exploring the LA food scene, and merging our friend groups; however, we initially built the foundations of what would develop into a relationship through a close friendship. Fast forward to November 2014, when Jacob needed a date for his fraternity's fall formal, and Jenna jokingly suggested that he take her. Upon mulling on it for a few days, Jacob realized that taking Jenna was actually a good idea — they would have a great time together as friends! (Note: Jacob would later figure out that Jenna has a habit of throwing out ideas and plans as a "joke", when she is actually quite serious about them.) Ultimately, we had an amazing time that weekend, and both realized that our friendship had the potential to be much more. We started "officially" dating in January 2015, and though we took some time apart that summer, we reconnected in October 2015 and have been inseparable ever since. The first two years of our relationship were long distance, as Jacob finished his studies at UCLA while Jenna worked in San Diego. Jacob moved down to San Diego shortly after graduating in 2017, and we have spent the past six years enjoying our life together in San Diego while trying to figure out how to adult. Through that time, we have shared countless laughs, traveled across the world together, gone to more concerts and music festivals than we can count, moved in together, supported each other through the good times and bad, and become obsessive parents of our fur baby Josie. We sincerely appreciate the love and support that each and every one of you has provided us throughout the past eight years. That said, it's finally time to make this official!! For now, forever, for always. We can't wait for you to share in this celebration of our love in October.
