Jacob and Georganna first met in high school. when Jacob moved to Nashville and started attending the same school. At the time, Jacob was just a random kid in Georganna's Algebra 2 class. But a few years later, when they both attended the University of Tennessee, a deep friendship emerged. Over the next several years, they continued to share adventures and navigate college as close friends. It was not until fall of their senior year that they fell in love.

Georganna was not totally aware she was on a date the first time they had dinner one-on-one. But by the end, there was no doubt. They had a lovely evening, but Georganna wasn't convinced they needed to change the dynamic of their relationship. After several attempts to convince her otherwise, Jacob finally succeeded.

From there, love grew fast. While their paths led them each to different cities and even continents over the next half-decade, Jacob and Georganna prayed and waited through the ups and downs, togetherness and distance. They received encouragement from friends, family, and community (and we thank you!!).

In the autumn of 2021, their paths led them both back to Nashville. Georganna had completed her masters in Boston and secured a teaching job in Nashville, and Jacob was in his second year of business school at Vanderbilt. They began dating and soon began to think about future plans. Jacob proposed to Georganna on top of a beautiful ridge overlooking the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, near Knoxville, where they first fell in love. Their story has been eventful, with many twists and turns, but the best is yet to come.
