We met like any other couple these days meets... online! After talking for a while online, we decided to meet on a cold day in January and being the gentleman that he is, Jake insisted that he come up to Grafton, so that Alex did not have to drive far. We went to Sahale Brewery for a couple of beers and decided to continue the date and grab a bite to eat at Water Street Brewery. This was the beginning of us continuing to go back and forth for date nights and where we found several of the places we love like Santinos, Camino, Station No.6, Foxtown Brewery, and Rebellion.

Saturday, July 8th started like any other day. Jake had come over for breakfast and once breakfast was over, Alex got right to cleaning and starting the weekend chores that had to be done. Although still in her PJs, Alex got to vacuuming and was well on her way through the house, but once she got to her last stop in the kitchen, Alex turned the vacuum cleaner off and turned around. There was Jake on one knee in the kitchen where he asked Alex to spend the rest of her life with him. Jake knew that Alex wanted this moment to be just between the two of them and it was perfect! We later met close friends and family at Sahale, where we had our first date to celebrate. It was the perfect surprise!
