Famous New Orleans restaurant that claims to have invented the Banana's Foster
Another white tablecloth New Orleans institution that has Jazz brunch!
Probably the best creole food that Julia and I have ever had. Located on Magazine street which has many outstanding restaurants and bars and is a bit less touristy than the French Quarter
White tablecloth New Orleans institution that claims to be the inventor of the Oysters Rockefeller
Very famous bar located in our main wedding hotel!
For the history buffs out there, you could spend days in this complex and would probably miss our wedding. It is an enormous and well-funded facility that is a Smithsonian affiliate and was designated by the US Congress as the National WWII museum in 2003.
The link here is one of the many swamp tour outfits in New Orleans so I would recommend looking online to see which deals/experiences look best for your situation. Basically a tour guide will take you and your group out to the swamp and you get to ride in a fan boat, see gators (although not guaranteed) and check out the marshlands that make up that part of the American south.
While Andrew Jackson may not be a figure to revere, the well-kept and lively Jackson Square is located right next to our wedding venue in the middle of the french quarter. It is across the street from Cafe Du Monde (famous Beignets) and is right along the riverwalk along the Mississippi River.
This is an annual festival of Caribbean culture and heritage that happens to take place on our wedding day! It starts at noon at Crescent Park which is on the river just east of the French Quarter. Have fun but not too much fun or you might miss the wedding!
