FAQs

Question

Will there be anything happening before the wedding?

Answer

If you'll be in town on Thursday evening, we'd love to kick off the weekend with you! Join us for welcome drinks at Wibby Brewing in Longmont from 6:00–8:00 PM on Thursday, July 9. We'll have light bites, drinks, and plenty of time to catch up before the big day. Kids are welcome, and no RSVP is required.

Question

Can I bring my children to the wedding?

Answer

Unless your invitation lists your children, we kindly ask that you make childcare arrangements and enjoy a fun night out! If this prevents you from being able to attend, please contact us, we completely understand and are happy to chat about options.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

You know the bride wants all the photos - just not during the ceremony, please. We’re keeping it unplugged for that part so everyone can be present in the moment. Once we’re back down the aisle, feel free to snap and share away!

Question

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

Yes! Complimentary shuttle service will be provided for guests staying at the Courtyard by Marriott Boulder Longmont and Residence Inn Boulder Longmont. Shuttles will depart from the Courtyard and provide transportation to and from Lionscrest Manor. To the Venue -Boarding begins at approximately 3:15 PM -Shuttles depart promptly at 3:30 PM Return to the Hotel -Early return shuttle: 9:45 PM -Final return shuttle (following the grand exit): Approximately 10:35 PM The Courtyard and Residence Inn share a parking lot and are less than a one-minute walk apart, so guests staying at either hotel are welcome to board at the Courtyard.

Question

What if I'm staying somewhere other than the Marriott hotels?

Answer

You're still welcome to use the wedding shuttle! Simply make your way to the Courtyard by Marriott Boulder Longmont before departure. Complimentary parking is available, and both shuttle departures and returns will operate from the Courtyard.

Question

Can I take an Uber or Lyft to/from Lionscrest Manor?

Answer

Yes, Uber and Lyft do service the Lyons area, including Lionscrest Manor. However, we’ve been told they can be verrrrrrry slow and limited, especially late at night. If you plan to use rideshare, please allow extra time and plan accordingly. For the smoothest (most fun) experience, we highly recommend using the provided shuttle transportation.

Question

Can I drive and park at Lionscrest Manor?

Answer

Yes! There is free parking available at Lionscrest Manor. You’re also welcome to leave your car overnight if needed and catch the shuttle back to the Marriott hotels.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please arrive 30 minutes before the ceremony start time to allow for transportation drop-off, grab some champagne, find your seat, and soak in the views.

Question

What’s the weather like?

Answer

It’s Colorado in July, which means sunshine, possible mountain breezes, and maybe a surprise sprinkle. The ceremony will be outdoors, so dress accordingly and wear shoes you can walk in comfortably on grass.

Question

Anything we should know about the altitude?

Answer

Lyons sits at a higher elevation than many places, so if you’re traveling from out of state (which most of you are 😊), hydrate early and often, eat before you drink, and remember that Colorado cocktails can hit a little differently. Pace yourself… or don’t ;)

Question

What’s the dress code?

Answer

Our theme is Disco Garden Party, so think bold colors, fun prints, and maybe a little (lot) sparkle. If it makes you feel fabulous and ready to hit the dance floor, you’re on the right track.

Question

If I have questions the day of the wedding, who should I ask?

Answer

Literally anyone other than the bride and groom - thanks :)

Question

Are there any post-wedding plans?

Answer

Yes! If you're still in town on Saturday, we'd love to see you one more time before everyone heads home. We'll be attending Garden Grass at Left Hand Brewing Company in Longmont beginning around 1:00 PM. The festival features live bluegrass music, food trucks, drinks, and a relaxed afternoon outdoors with friends and family. Tickets available on the Schedule page!
