This is definitely one of our favorite spots in Austin to cool off or catch rays - a beautiful spring-fed pool! There's a $3 cash entrance fee for residents and $8 cash entrance fee for non-residents. *They do not ID. You might be residents ;).
This is our Sunday staple. A great spot for Tex-Mex and you can enjoy live music, full bar and appetizers in their Oak Garden next door (Wednesday-Sunday). Guero's sits on South Congress, which is home to many unique Texas shops, art and other eats. You can enjoy live music, full bar and appetizers in the Oak Garden (Wednesday-Sunday).
This beautiful open space is usually full of dogs, kites, and friendly Austinites. It is near Barton Springs and also has a great view of the city.
The trail also known as the Hike and Bike runs parallel to the South side of the city and then wraps around the river (Lady Bird Lake). It's a 4.4 mile trail showing views of the city, lake and nature. Kayak and Paddleboard rentals are available along the trail.
This 3-block strip is lined with bungalow houses turned bars. A really fun, lively yet laid back atmosphere. Go have a drink!
This area is about 5 blocks long. On both sides are bars, food and happen-upon live music! This street gets rowdier as the night goes on.
A little hike uphill, but once at the top the view is well worth it!
