Things To DoThings To Do

The Wedding Website of Jacob Ramirez and Alexia Spilsbury
Bar Harbor is full of natural beauty, delicious food, and classic New England charm. Below are some of our favorite experiences we’d love for you to enjoy while you’re here!
Acadia National Park

Acadia National ParkAcadia National Park

Right down the road from downtown Bar Harbor is Acadia National Park! You can drive the scenic Park Loop Road, hike a range of trails, or relax at Jordan Pond. If you can wake up early enough, Cadillac Mountain offers one of the most breathtaking sunrises in the country. For a quieter experience with less crowds, we recommend venturing to Schoodic Peninsula (pictured above) — Acadia’s only section on the mainland.

Downtown Bar Harbor is full of life, with unique shops, local galleries, and lots of places to eat. We recommend grabbing dessert at one of the local ice cream shops — don’t miss CJ's Big Dipper (pictured above).

Coastal Boat Tours

Bar Harbor also has different types of scenic boat tours! We enjoyed a lighthouse & puffin cruise and we plan to try a lobstering tour and/or deep-sea fishing before the wedding. Just FYI - the Atlantic breeze is crisp! (Make sure to dress warm)

Taste of Maine

Our favorite thing to do when we travel is bring out our inner foodies! Maine's famous seafood and their locally brewed ales are no joke. In the above picture we enjoyed a flight of beer, blackened haddock sandwich, and a bowl of clam chowder :)
