Why He is "The One"

Cue Drake's "God's Plan"...

Jacob and I have known each other since 2005 and were reacquainted at his sister's wedding on October 7, 2017. From there, it went 0 to 100 real quick. Neither of us could get past week 1 before deciding that this was it. As cheesy as it sounds, separately we both had spiritual encounters and received the same message: this is your future. It was never a question. Why is he the one? I'll try to keep it short. He is a big sensitive mush ball, he's fiercely loyal, he's never met a stranger (lucky for me, as I don't particularly enjoy small talk). He is analytical and detail-oriented, thank God, and he is organized and clean, also thank God- mami doesn't always like to do the dishes. We "talk smart things". We also talk really dumb things (both share an affinity for immature bathroom humor). We often argue about who is funnier- it pains me to admit that it is a close battle. He is my partner- we set big goals and plan together how to make them happen. He is the companion and the sense of comfort that I was always missing. And I'm pretty sure his love language is all 5 of them- an amazing perk for a girl that has been called high maintenance a time or 2 in her life. TLDR: He is my person, and I love him very much!

Why She is "The One"

From Girl Next Door to Life Companion

I don't know exactly when Allie and I met but I always remember caring about her. She was cute, pretty, funny, and subconsciously (at the time) everything I could ever want. When I look back, after reconnecting at my sister's wedding, its amazing how quickly everything happened with us. But at the same time, it was effortless. The wedding was October 7th, and despite her living in Dallas and me in DC, we spent every other weekend together since November 16th of 2017 until I moved back to Dallas in July of 2019. It feels like bragging to describe the intense connection we have to each other. It is another level of what we thought was even a thing or possible. I love everything about her; her heart, thoughtfulness, and kindness to me blow me away every day. She is intelligent and creative, funny and beautiful, caring and loyal. She is some combination of amazing that I never imagine existed in a person, and to be loved by her is the greatest thing in my life. She enriches my life in so many ways. She encourages me towards the things I want. She makes me better at everything I do and gives me confidence. On top of all this, we just keep getting closer and could not want anything more than to spend every day together. She is a blessing.
