We ask that you wear semi-formal attire such as a suit or a dress shirt with slacks and optional tie, a cocktail dress (knee length or longer), or dressy separates/pantsuit. Please note that the venue does not permit blue jeans or flannels.

April 14th is the last day our Room Block is honored through our link or using our rate code: TMW.

What should I do if I didn’t make it into the Room Block?

Will there be Shuttle Service throughout the night?

Yes! For your convenience and safety, we’ll be offering shuttle service for all guests between the Fairfield Inn & Suites, the venue, and the after-party location. Feel free to use the shuttle as needed throughout the evening, even for quick trips back to the hotel.

Does the shuttle service provide transportation to locations beyond the venue, Fairfield Inn & Suites, and the after-party location?

To keep things running smoothly, the shuttle service will be available exclusively between the Fairfield Inn & Suites, the venue, and the after-party location. We appreciate your understanding!

If I’m not staying at the Fairfield Inn & Suites, can I still use the shuttle service?
Answer
Absolutely, please do! We’ve included this complimentary shuttle service to help our guests feel safe and comfortable while enjoying the evening. We strongly encourage everyone to take advantage of the shuttle and avoid drinking and driving. Guests are welcome to park in the hotel parking lot or Uber/Lyft to the hotel to catch the shuttle.

I’m not taking the Shuttle, can I park at the venue?
Answer
Yes! Ample parking will be available for guests who plan to drive themselves.

Will there be plenty of Ubers & Lyfts available?
Answer
We cannot guarantee this of course. We will be in a fairly remote area with very few Ubers/Lyfts running services from what we’ve seen.

Is the ceremony and reception held at the same location?
Answer
Yes, both events are held at our venue, Mollys Lakeside by Wedgewood Weddings. 1200 N Washington St Shelby, NC, 28150

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?
Answer
A mix of both is the plan! The ceremony will be held outdoors, cocktail hour will offer both outdoor and indoor options, and the reception will take place in an indoor temperature-controlled space.

What happens if it rains?
Answer
Everything will continue as planned, with the ceremony moving to the indoor reception space and cocktail hour being held fully indoors.

What’s the best airport to use?
Answer
We suggest using the Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT). This allows for a 45-60 minute drive to and from Shelby, NC.

Are children allowed to come to the wedding?
Answer
While we love your little ones, due to space restrictions we cannot accommodate guests under the age of 21.

Can I bring someone else that’s not named on my invitation?
Answer
Unfortunately, we're limited on venue space, so we can't accommodate extra guests beyond those named on the invitation. We hope you understand!

Will there be an open bar?
Answer
There will be an open bar for guests to enjoy throughout cocktail hour and the reception, however, we do recommend bringing cash or a credit card along if you plan to attend the welcome-party or after-party, as drinks at these events will not be covered.

Will there be an after party?

Yes! We will be holding an after party at The Overtime Sports Bar and Grill located at: 127 W Marion St Shelby, NC, 28150 We’ve reserved the entire bar from 10:00 pm to 1:00 am.

Can I take pictures at the wedding?
Answer
We will be having an unplugged ceremony so we ask that you silence and put away all electronics at that time. However, for the rest of the wedding events, we encourage you to take as many pictures as you’d like and send them to us while you’re at! We would love to see the night from your point of view!!
