Our Story

Like all great modern love stories, ours started with a Hinge match.

When Theo came across Jaclyn’s profile, he was instantly drawn to her goal of reading 35 books in a year, her easy smile, and how much fun she seemed to be having in every photo. He tapped the like button, and made the first move (or at least half of one). Not long after, Jaclyn opened the app and noticed his like. Intrigued, she clicked into his profile, where she noticed they shared some favorite activities, including pickleball, reading, skiing/snowboarding, and traveling. His bio said he was looking for someone kind, active, and just a little nerdy. That’s basically me, she thought. So, she sent the message that started it all. Their first date took a little patience to pull off. Theo had a trip to Abu Dhabi, and Jaclyn was visiting Chicago and Green Bay. Two weeks passed, basically forever in the dating-app world. But when Theo followed up after returning, Jaclyn was impressed, and they finally set a time. They met at HeadFlyer Brewing for a trivia night (Family Feud style), where they immediately hit it off, bonding over their shared disbelief that “books” wasn’t a top answer to the question, "What’s on your nightstand?" One great date led to another. Their conversations were effortless, and they discovered they could be completely themselves - goofy, playful, and at ease together. As their relationship grew, so did the small joys: doing the daily crossword, joining a pickleball league, cooking together (and debating who’s the true Executive Chef). Adventures big and small followed - from local date nights to trips to Hawaii, Park City, Bozeman, and New Zealand. And their travel list is still growing. Theo wanted to surprise Jaclyn with a proposal, but she was far too clever. Besides, when their Uber “accidentally” dropped them off at Gold Medal Park, where they visited after a play on their second date, she knew exactly what was happening. After a long walk to the top of the hill, he was down on one knee. And now, they’re writing their next chapter together.
