We're so excited to celebrate with you!

It was a typical football Sunday in Chicago. The Carolina Panthers were playing the Chicago Bears. She was brunching with some of her girlfriends and was the only person in the place cheering for the Panthers. This annoyed a guy who was sitting at the table next to her. His lack of patience intervened and he quickly asked "why are you doing that?". Somehow that started a conversation, a first date that same night ensued and 7+ years later they are saying "I do".

It was our 4 year anniversary so we had planned to drive down to one of our favorite places in the south of France for a long weekend. We wanted to leave extra early that morning as he mentioned there was something he had planned for us to do on the way down. But when leaving our home, we turned left when we should have been turning right. A couple hours later, just as the sun was rising, we were ascending into the sky high over the Alps in a hot air balloon. She told him, "I think this is the coolest thing we've ever done". It was a picture perfect morning as we floated over the most spectacular scenery. We landed, popped a bottle of champagne, gobbled up some croissants and the next thing she knew he was down on one knee. Confused, shocked and overwhelmed she said "are you sure" and then....."YES"! We are so excited to share this next chapter with you. See you in Des Moines!
