We met in the fall of 2019. Anna had just moved to downtown Grand Rapids for her senior year of undergrad and was applying to graduate schools, while Tommy was finishing his final few semesters of the Engineering program on top of practices and games for both Grand Valley’s track & field and football teams. We began officially dating in February 2020 and a little over a month later, COVID-19 shut down the world. It was like hitting the fast forward button on a book that started out with a very slow-burn. Lazy days of fishing, watching movies, staying up late and sleeping in! We cooked together, laughed together, cried together, and fell in love with each other. In December of 2020, Tommy earned a degree in Design-Manufacturing Engineering and Anna earned a Master of Speech-Language Pathology. We moved to our home in Grand Haven, Michigan just a short distance from the beach (and from the boat launch)! Tommy and Anna both obtained their dream jobs; Tommy working at Tiara Yachts and Anna as a preschool-based SLP! Fast forward a couple of years and Tommy proposed the day before Christmas Eve 2023 with Anna’s family all eagerly watching on. We decided we wanted all of our family and friends to celebrate with us in our neck of the woods and invite all of you to witness the beauty of West Michigan for a wedding in Saugatuck.
