One night we both ended up at an end of the semester hangout at a mutual friend's house. It was junior year and we had never even seen each other on campus before. Somehow we hit it off, and that's where the story begins...
After graduating from NAU, Olivia returned to the Los Angeles area to work as a residential counselor. Jackson was offered and accepted a job in production at a news station in Tucson, AZ, where his family is located. For the year following our graduation, we visited each other back and forth between CA and AZ.
The Harris family was visiting Southern California and staying in a lovely house on the beach. Olivia was able to spend time with Jackson and his family on the beach, and was invited to join them for dinner on the 11th at a restaurant on the Hermosa Beach Pier. Little did she know that everyone was in on this "casual" dinner plan, including her own family. Olivia was caught off guard and proposed to on the beach while walking to dinner...then surprised with the presence of both families for the dinner/celebration!
A few weeks after getting engaged, we picked up and moved ourselves to NYC so Olivia could attend graduate school and Jackson could continue to pursue his career in production. We started out in campus housing, steps away from the Columbia campus. After Olivia's recent graduation, we relocated to Hell's Kitchen and plan to continue to enjoy the NYC life until it is time to relocate again to start our new lives on the west coast as husband & wife.
Get your passports ready! The wedding will be held at the lovely Bajamar Resort, located 1 hour south of San Diego on Mexico's Baja California peninsula. (Hotel pictured below)
