Sols Cliff House Rental
We are so grateful that you are making the journey all the way to Maine and we understand that it is a trek to even get here. So, we've rented this 12 bedroom Vanderbilt era house and would love for you to stay with us Wednesday the 24th through Saturday morning on the 27th. Check in - any time after 11am on Wednesday, September 24th Check out - 9am on Saturday, September 27th We’ll be providing dinner on Wednesday and Thursday but if you don’t want to go out to eat for the rest of your meals, you are welcome to keep groceries at the house in one of the two fridges. The closest grocery store, Hannaford, is 2.1 miles (7 minute drive) away in Bar Harbor. If you are driving in or renting a car, there is also a Hannaford and large Walmart in Ellsworth (35 minute drive).

Airports to Fly Into
Bangor International Airport (BGR) - The closest major airport to Bar Harbor needing a 1 hour and 15 minute drive and where we would recommend most guests fly into. If you schedule your flight to arrive before 1:00 pm, at 1:45 pm on Wednesday, the Downeast Bus can take you from the airport to Bar Harbor for $9. There is no bus on Saturday but I'm sure we could work carpooling out with other guests who are renting a car. https://www.downeasttrans.org/schedBarHarborBangor.html There are also taxis available the airport (https://flybangor.com/airport-information/ground-transportation/) but no to very few rideshare options that operate on the island. Jackson's dad John also offered to pick up some folks if they arrive in the morning. Just let us know, because he won't be able to scoop up everyone. Hancock County Airport (BHB)- Direct flights from Boston's Logan Airport land at the Hancock County Airport, 25 minutes from Bar Harbor. Portland International Jetport (JWM) - The second closest major airport, requiring a 3 hour drive. There are rental cars available at all three airports.
