To ensure a wonderful, uninterrupted celebration for all our guests, we kindly request that children under the age of 13 not attend. This will allow our adult guests to fully enjoy the festivities and keep the atmosphere relaxed. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to celebrating with you!
We kindly request that all guests arrive at the venue before 2:45 pm and be seated by 3 pm, when the ceremony is scheduled to begin. We would like to start promptly so we have more time to celebrate together as Mr. and Mrs. Shaw! Those arriving after 3 pm will be asked to wait outside so as not to disrupt the wedding procession.
We ask that, whether you plan to attend the Wedding or not, you RSVP by September 15th so that we have ample time to finalize our plans and prepare for you to join us for this very special day! If you should need hotel accommodations, please see the "Hotel" page on our wedding website for more information.
Parking is conveniently located just south of the venue, right next to Arnold’s Park Amusement Park. You can’t miss it—it’s nestled near the edge of the park and sits beneath the iconic “The Legend” wooden rollercoaster. After you park, simply follow the brick road heading north toward the lake. The Majestic Pavilion will be on your left. Friendly signs and greeters will be there to guide you to the correct entrance until the ceremony begins at 3 PM. Please refrain from parking on Lake St. outside of our venue, as this will inhibit our ability to move bridal party members and family effectively to and from the venue.
We ask that all guests RSVP online using our wedding website, accessible by the provided link or QR code. If for whatever reason, you have difficulty RSVP'ing or should have any questions, feel free to reach out to the Bride or Groom!
While we appreciate a good pair of jeans and boots, we kindly ask our guests to "dress for church." Denim and boots are absolutely welcome, as long as they are paired with a polo or button-up shirt. The only ask, is that you do not wear white. There is no upper limit to the dress code, so if you’d like to dress to impress, feel free to do so!
While we would love to celebrate with everyone, we kindly ask that only those explicitly designated a plus one on the RSVP form attend. To keep our celebration intimate and within our means, we had to limit our guest list to our closest friends and family. We truly appreciate your understanding and support!
Yes! Our venue will provide a cash bar during cocktail hour and throughout the reception. Beverage service will begin immediately after the ceremony. We invite you to enjoy a drink, mingle, and celebrate with us!
Both the wedding ceremony and the reception will be held at the same venue. We wanted to ensure we had as little downtime as possible between the ceremony and the reception so we have more time to celebrate together! Our wonderful hosts will work to transition the space following the conclusion of the ceremony.
To ensure everyone can fully enjoy the moment, we kindly request that all photos and videos be taken during the reception only. We’ve hired a professional photographer to capture all the special moments during the ceremony. Please leave the photography to them and let’s all focus on celebrating together!
While we can't wait to see all of the photos taken at our celebration, we kindly ask that you wait to post all photos until we have had the chance to share our own photos that our photographer has taken. Once those photos have been posted, feel free to share your own!
Gifts and cards are graciously accepted either prior to the celebration or throughout the reception. A designated area will be available at the venue for your convenience. If you choose to purchase a gift from our wedding registry, you may opt to have it shipped to us in advance or to your own address for personal delivery on the wedding day. On Sunday morning, we will be spending time with our immediate family in the Peacock room at The Inn, opening gifts and reading heartfelt messages. While we wish to keep this gathering intimate, we warmly welcome our guests to stop by to bid farewell before their departure.
