The place where it all began! We had our first date here on Dec. 13, 2018, so it will always hold a special place in our hearts...it also just happens to be one of our favorite local breweries, and was a top contender to be our wedding venue. Join us here for a drink to kickoff the wedding festivities on Saturday, May 6 at 8:00 p.m.!
This fun food hall in a converted historic warehouse opened in summer 2021 and quickly became one of our favorite places in the Cities. Start a running tab then use your "yard card" to buy food from stalls ranging from empanadas to Korean fried chicken, to some of the best ice cream in town. Don't forget to pour your own beer at the tap wall, So good, so dangerous...
Are you already aware that we're both improv nerds? YES, AND...there would be no better way to celebrate our matrimony than by seeing a show at our favorite theater to play, perform, and watch our friends. Info and tickets at hugetheater.com. P.S. It's right down the block from LynLake Brewery!
The urban lakes are our favorite thing about living in the Uptown area...take a walk around one of them on a beautiful day and you'll see why. Find a bench to enjoy the view of Isles (where we got engaged!); rent a canoe, kayak, or pedal boat from Wheel Fun Rentals on Bde Maka Ska; or grab coffee and a treat from one of our favorite bakeries (Black Walnut on Hennepin & 32nd and Isles Bun and Coffee on Hennepin & 28th) to enjoy lakeside.
Our favorite spot for brunch in Downtown Minneapolis, featuring eclectic decor, over-the-top Bloody Marys, and often live music. You've got to try the homemade peanut butter (which you can take home in TSA-friendly mini jars), the wild rice porridge, and the maple bison sausage!
Farmers markets are Erica's happy place, and this is the biggest one in town. Open daily and great for people-watching and buying local products. Don't forget to take a picture with the big chicken!
One of the best views in Minneapolis is found in this area--right on the Mississippi River near the Guthrie Theater. Walk across the historic bridge, listen to the sound of the waterfall, and fantasize about luxury real estate. Head northwest along the river to find the James Beard award-winning restaurant Owamni (good luck getting a table!), the iconic Grain Belt Beer sign, and the trendy North Loop neighborhood.
Home to our wedding venue, they call this stretch of Nicollet Ave "Eat Street" for a reason! This is where you'll find some of the best International cuisine in Minneapolis, along with coffee, bubble tea, and even an indoor rock climbing gym. Our favorite spots are Quang (Vietnamese), Black Forest Inn (German), Pimento (Jamaican), and Centro (tacos!).
