It's a casual family style Italian meal! Ladies: sundresses/rompers with flats or low heels (no skinny heels on the steep cobblestone streets), bring a jacket as it will be chilly after the sun goes down. Gents: pants/khakis, button downs, optional jacket or sweater for warmth but no dinner jacket or tie needed.
You can organize a shuttle or take a bus from Avignon or Marseilles to Gordes. Both events will be central in Gordes village. However, we HIGHLY recommend a car so that you can explore the region/activities outside of the village during your stay. They have typical American car rental companies (Budget, Hertz, etc) at MRS airport, very easy to pick up, make sure you request automatic if you don't drive stick. It is an easy drive on country roads from the airport. Google maps does work. There is NO UBERS in the region. Taxi services are limited, only speak French and expensive.

We recommend walking. The welcome dinner restaurant is directly in the center of Gordes village, almost across the street from Bastide de Gordes and near most rentals. Please wear appropriate shoes for the steep streets if planning on walking from far. There is public parking in town near the venue. There are taxi services that can be called or booked ahead of time. There is NOT Uber in the area. The hotel can store your shoes/clothes if you need to change at the venue. Please reach out to us if you have transportation concerns so we can help with ideas.
The weather this time of year typically ranges from low 50s at night to upper 70s in the day. Think chilly/jacket first thing in the morning but you may be in a bathing suit by afternoon. Plan to layer! The ceremony & cocktail hour will be outside with reception indoors. The welcome dinner will be inside/outside with heaters.
