Jack and Sierra met at the classiest of places - a dive bar in Portland, Maine. Jack was tall, handsome and caught Sierra's eye from across the room. He likes to tell people that she couldn't keep her eyes off him all night but she begs to differ. He mustered up the courage to ask her for her number and they went out to coffee that week. Coffee led to dinners and dinners led to weekend get-a-ways. The two grew inseparable. All their friends and family knew that this was something special. Sixty tulips on their two-month anniversary “one for every day that I’ve known you”, waking up after a Nor’Easter to a “mysteriously” cleaned off car – Jack made it easy for Sierra to fall in love. Nine months later, Jack was offered a job in Dallas, Texas which he couldn’t pass up. After much deliberation, he made the hard decision to leave Sierra in Portland and relocate. A situation that has the potential to break a young and new relationship like Jack and Sierra's only made their bond grow stronger. Sierra soon joined Jack in Dallas, where they lived in a downtown apartment and spent their days by the pool beating the Texas heat. Just a few months later Jack got another job opportunity in North Carolina, where he had grown up, close to Jack’s parents. They missed being near family and really wanted to get back to the east coast. So again, they packed their bags, rented another Uhaul and made another big move to Charlotte, North Carolina where they currently reside. Life changing decisions, long distances between them, hours and hours in Uhauls hasn’t always been easy but with love, trust and understanding, they made it through together. Jack and Sierra's journey prove that life's not about where you are, but who you are with, that matters most.
