Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Mason Hosek and Jack Heyl
There are so many things to do in New Orleans, that you can hardly fit them into a list. We do encourage guests to get out and explore the city as much as possible. Listed are some places that Jack and Mason love and frequent, as well as tourist attractions.

Audubon Park, the Fly, and The Batture

6500 Magazine Street, New Orleans, LA 70118

Audubon Park is where Jack and Mason first met. Walking under the the live oaks and spanish moss is magical. Plenty of recreation is here too, from golf to the Zoo, and even food trucks at The Batture.

Magazine Street

Magazine Street, New Orleans, LA

Mason used to live on Magazine Street. This is the main commercial district in Uptown, where we live. There is plenty of shopping, eating and drinking to partake in. Shaya (Mason's favorite dirty martini), Nanami Sushi (best sushi in Nola in our opinion), and Steins are our favorite places to eat. St. Joes, Henrys, Bon Temps Roulez, and Ms. Maes are a few of our most frequented bars.

City Park

New Orleans, LA

Another great park in Mid City. This huge park has a ton of attractions for a wide variety of people. The New Orleans Museum of Art is fantastic. Nearby Bayou St. John is picturesque. Local eats are very good too: Cafe Du Monde is in the park, Blue Oak BBQ, Toups Meatery, and Parkway Tavern (a place which many consider to have the best poboys in the city) are all great.

Dolfy's

4508 Freret Street, New Orleans, LA 70115

A new restaurant opened right down the street from our home. We were thrilled to try the cuisine we plan to experience for our honeymoon, the basque region! It was incredible and highly recommend if wanting to get a taste of San Sebastián, Spain, where we plan to honeymoon.
