Question

What time should guests arrive to the wedding?

Answer

Please arrive between 4:30-4:50pm to ensure you are settled prior to the ceremony beginning.

Question

Where do guest park?

Answer

Parking is available onsite and is free of charge. The venue has around 30 parking spots, however we encourage guests who plan to drink to uber/lyft or take the ferry over. The ferry location is approximately a 10 minute walk to our venue. We plan to also have transportation from the ferry to the venue as well.

Question

I am not planning to drive to the wedding, how should I get to the venue?

Answer

Wonderful idea, we encourage guests who plan to drink to Uber/Lyft/carpool with a designated driver or take the ferry over. One of the coolest parts of our venue is the ferry location is approximately a 10 minute walk along the levee or through the neighborhood. We also plan to also have transportation from the ferry to the venue as well. Jack and Mason did a test run on the ferry and it is very timely and the ferry trip takes around 5 minutes total. For the ceremony starting at 5pm we do recommend getting on the 4:15 ferry departure to ensure you make it on time to the ceremony.

Question

How do I get tickets for the ferry?

Answer

Cash $2 each way. You can download the Le Pass app where you will be able to digitally purchase tickets for the ferry. Departure from Canal St Ferry Terminal - arriving at Algiers Point Ferry Terminal. The single ride cost $2, therefore if planning to ride there and back $4 total. However you can also purchase a Jazzy Pass 1 day that is $3. If you plan to use the street car or any other public transportation throughout the weekend, we do recommend getting a Jazzy Pass for easier transit.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, we kindly ask guest to wear black tie optional/formal attire. Think tea length, midi, and floor length dresses, suits, no jeans, please. If you want some inspiration or ideas for what to wear to our event, here is a mood board. https://www.pinterest.com/masonriley15/wedding-guest-inspo/

Question

Answer

While we love your little ones, we are keeping our wedding an adult only celebration (except for immediate family).

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We are having an unplugged ceremony, so please keep phones and cameras away until after the "I Do's." After that, snap away and share all night long!!!

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

If your invitation includes "and guest", then yes. Otherwise, we are keeping our guest list intimate.

Question

What is a second line?

Answer

A second line is a traditional New Orleans celebration, symbolizing life, unity, and transition with a brass band leading us during our stroll. We will be walking to the levee behind our venue, be prepared to walk and dance. We recommend having or wearing your dancing shoes for this portion of the event. (If you can't tell the bride has made bad heels decisions resulting in barefoot nights while attending weddings in the past)
