How can I get to the Grand Miramar from the airport?

You'll have to exit the airport premises to use their service. The most convenient path to the Uber area is once you exit the airport, turn left and walk all the way to the pedestrian bridge hidden around the corner. Once you cross the bridge you can order an Uber on the other side. *Plan to tip your Uber a few pesos or dollars cash. The app takes a portion of their tips. Grand Miramar can also arrange transportation on your behalf. Feel free to contact the hotel for these options. Please note, when exiting the airport you will be surrounded by many taxi salespeople that will eagerly seek your patronage. If you have made prior arrangements or will catch an Uber, please follow those guidelines and ignore the salespeople.

Do I need to bring Mexican Pesos to Puerto Vallarta?

No, it is not an immediate need. Most businesses in Puerto Vallarta accept US currency and card payment. Some places will offer a cheaper price in pesos, so if you plan to buy some souvenirs from El Malecón, we encourage you to bring some pesos.

If you want to step outside of the resort and visit the heart of the city, a taxi to Zona Romántica typically costs around 100 to 200 pesos ($6 to $12 USD). Our resort is up in the hills and it will be more convenient to taxi down.

Do I have cell phone coverage in Puerto Vallarta?

Major cell phone service providers will often lump Mexico as part of your coverage without additional roaming fees depending on your plan (Like Verizon unlimited, AT&T unlimited, etc.). Please call your service provider for additional details.
