Out story began during a time when social distancing was the law of the land and you were encouraged to stick to your "bubble". In the fall of 2020, we were both perusing potential dates on an app called Hinge, when Jack "hearted" one of Mari's profile responses. She took this as an invitation to strike up a conversation, and Jack took that as a major sign of interest. After a couple days of nerdy discourse, we met for coffee. We both arrived with the goal of truly getting to know one another and we spent hours talking about all things from our professions to the dark side of WWE. When it was time for Jack to head to his weekly DnD meeting, we made it clear that we would meet again soon. From that date onwards, we have only grown to know one another better and fall very much in love with one another. September 2020-We meet and know almost immediately that we like one another. November 2020- Mari couldn’t visit her sister for Thanksgiving so Jack sent cookies and kept her company. That is when we learned it takes 48 hours to defrost a store-bought duck. December 2020- Mari takes Jack to San Antonio. We explore all over the city and learn we are excellent road trip partners. February 2021- We survive the Texas icepocolypse! What a roller coaster of events over Valentine’s weekend, yet we handled each curve ball with resilience and mutual care. March 2021- Jack moves into his new home and Mari meets his family. Summer 2021- Mari spends most days with Jack at his new home, setting up and working towards building a sustainable relationship between Mack and Lily. October 2021- Mari works in Manor now, and basically lives with Jack. Unplanned and lovely. We enjoy waking up to one another and saying goodnight each day. That same month Jack meets Mari’s family and enjoys his first time on a party bus! Summer 2022- Mari officially moves in with Jack. Later that summer his parents also make their move to Texas, and weekly family dinners become part of the routine. In the Spring of 2025 we traveled to Japan and experienced the most amazing time in a foreign place. On a beautiful night in our onsen, with the quiet hum of water and nature surrounding us, Jack proposed and our next big adventure was put in motion. We share so much in common, yet our characters express themselves differently. Having one another to lean on in times of celebration and grief has been one of the biggest blessings of our lives. We cant wait to celebrate our love with all of you on October 29th.
