Varna’s expansive seaside park—ideal for romantic walks, family photos, or just unwinding. It’s got green promenades and is steps away from the beach. Most of the restaurants and bars we love and linked here are at the bottom of the Sea Garden steps. The main entrance linked here also leads to a pedestrian street (Bul. Slivnitsa) with more cafes, shops, and restaurants.
One of our favorite restaurants for tsa-tsa (fried smelt) and all seafood. Very low key vibe where you can hop over for lunch from the beach or have a nice dinner.
You can find us here on most beach days sipping Mentas, Aperol Spritzes, getting our tan on and going for endless dips in the Black Sea.
Our favorite beach bar for lounging during the day or dancing the night away.
The famous "Hepito" where you can order anything from sushi to a burger.
The best pub in Varna to watch some soccer, have some beers, eat all the grilled Bulgarian meats and fresh salads.
Some of the best banitsa (filo dough with feta) you can get!
Jack's favorite late night doner spot - enjoy!!!
A hallmark of Bulgarian heritage, this museum sits in a striking late-Baroque building originally constructed as a girls’ school in the 1890s. Inside, you'll find over 2,150 m² of exhibitions spanning prehistory through medieval times, including Thracian, Ancient Greek, Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman eras. The museum’s crown jewel is the Gold of Varna, believed to be the oldest processed gold treasure in the world (circa 4600–4200 BCE).
Great place to entertain kiddos in the Sea Garden with lots of rides and cafes
Lots of warships that you can explore without going into the museum!
