One of the coolest zoos you will ever visit! World-renowned, and fully immersed. Also such a short drive from JTH. It has an aquarium, and all of the animals native to the Sonoran desert that we will share a habitat with. Super knowledgeable and kind staff.
We got engaged here. Just unreal. If you can see a show here, please do. Incredible staff, venue, and #1 rated acoustics in America. Also one of the few examples of Pueblo Deco Architecture. Built in 1929, abandoned for years, now back in all of its glory. John Wayne's favorite cinema. Glorious.
IF YOU LIKE VINTAGE SHOPPING, CAFES AND NATIVE JEWELLERY. This street is so crazy and filled with gems but I am also tired so here is what their website says: "Between 1916 and 1967, the District’s location provided ready access to goods and supplies imported by the railroad and neighboring warehouses, and could accommodate University students, downtown business people, and neighbors. Today this vibrant commercial corridor is populated by over 140 locally owned boutiques, bars, and cafes; all residing in historic buildings."
If you like cowboys and westerns, you go here for a day trip. One singular street and town packed with real saloons, untouched history, real cowboys and sheriffs. Eat at the Longhorn Restaurant saloon and get a big fat steak. They all dress up like they are in the 1880s here too. Mad. Go see the world's largest rose bush, planted by a Scottish woman. Yeehaw. What a feat. Stay in the stagecoach Airbnb like we did. Hardcore.
