The Maker Hotel

The Lounge at the Maker is our go-to spot on Warren to grab a cocktail. Their cafe, juice bar and restaurant are all also great!

Best Fish and Chips in the Hudson Valley (and the Mother of the Bride's favorite spot!). Casual seafood restaurant. Conveniently located for those staying at The Alander.

Bash Bish Falls

A lovely "hike" for all ages (pleasant creekside stroll with a very slight incline). Approximately 1 hour. Note there are NY and MA parking lots; we recommend accessing from the New York parking lot for a more enjoyable (read: easier) stroll :). Conveniently located for those staying at The Alander.

Copake Hillsdale Farmers Market

"Kendra's Happy Place"--you can find us here any given Saturday in season. Conveniently located for those staying at The Alander.

Harlem Valley rail trail

Paved trail spanning 26 miles--perfect for long walks or bike rides (bike rental shop located at Copake Falls entrace to the trail). Conveniently located for those staying at The Alander.

Great Barrington

Our favorite Berkshires destination, Great Barrington is located just ~15 minutes from The Alander. Plenty of great restaurants, dispensaries and breweries to explore!

Stissing House

Stissing House is our special place Upstate. Restaurant and Tavern built in 1782, serving a large variety of local and seasonal produce, meat, and dairy. Four times James Beard Award Nominee. Located less than a 20 minute drive from The Alander, and a 30 minute drive from Hudson.
