Maid of Honor
Kenzie and I have been inseparable since we starred in the 3rd-grade play together (see photo). From the countless laughs and the many ups and downs life throws between kindergarten and our mid-20s, Kenzie and I have been best friends through every chapter of life. I always knew she would be standing next to me on my wedding day, even though she is an avid horse-girl and participates in "neighing competitions" in her free time.
Matron of Honor
Zoey and I survived being college roommates for three years, two of which we were living in a literal haunted house. Between verrrry late nights of tasing each other "just to see what happens," questionable study habits, and just a few handles of Captain Morgan, we made it through with plenty of stories (and regrets lol). Zoey has always been there to laugh and cry with me through it all, and I can't wait to have her by my side.
Bridesmaid
Riley, another college roommate, was blissfully unaware of our ghost situation. She was too busy perfecting tik tok dances in her room to even notice. Riley is famous for never making it past the pregame and if there is a floor, she is on it. Gravity is undefeated and she's it's biggest fan. She is absolutely hilarious and I can't imagine not having her up there with me. If you need her, she will probably be crawling across the dance floor because it’s “too much work to stand.”
Bridesmaid
Brooke - the queen of drama and saying the most unintentionally outrageous and hilarious things you have ever heard. She is probably still mad at me for not choosing pink for bridesmaid dresses, but she will definitely forgive me with the open bar. Everyone needs someone as unpredictable and entertaining as Brooke in their lives, I feel honored to have her standing up with me on my wedding day.
Bridesman
Everyone's favorite server/bartender at Rock Elm - Cooper and I met in Spanish during high school and became friends immediately. We used to have late-night McDonald's runs after work at the Lab (iykyk). But as we get older, we frequent the local Mexican restaurant for queso and margs or sushi. He is the most thoughtful and brutally honest friend a girl could ask for, and I could not imagine my wedding day without Coop as my one-and-only bridesman.
Bridesmaid
Aliah could make friends with a brick wall, and honestly, the wall would love her. She is my emotional support human, has the kindest heart, and is able to find the positive in every situation. She brings laughs, an incredible playlist, and often new friends wherever she goes. She has a way of making everyone around her feel loved and lucky to know her. I am so grateful to have her by my side, I couldn't even come up with a roast for her.
Bridesmaid
If there is party to be had, Annika is there - probably with a glass of wine in hand, a Pinterest board with the theme, and an Amazon cart full of decorations. Everyone knows that her son Bode is my favorite human on the planet, but his mom is pretty high on that list too. She is the sister that I never had and I can't imagine celebrating our wedding day without her standing beside me.
Best Man
My OLDer brother, finance bro, and fake cowboy - Jake has been crunching numbers since before Kat was born. When he is not tailgating at a Gopher game or parading Bode around, he is definitely talking to everyone about the stock market. If you need to find him, he’ll probably be in an office somewhere, trying to write this wedding off as a business expense.
Best Man
My younger brother, Kat and I's former roommate, and somehow both a genius and an idiot at the same time. Josh owns a truck but refuses to drive it because Zoe's car gets way better gas mileage. He is proof that intelligence comes in many forms, just not always practical ones. Genius level IQ, but can't seem to figure out how to close the kitchen cabinets.
Groomsman
Our resident short king, Austin is somehow both fearless and absolutely terrified - specifically of all women (except his dog Kona). Despite owning a motorcycle, he has never agreed taking me or Kat for a spin. We love him anyway, just not as much as he loves crashing his bike. Austin's only long-term commitment so far in life is to the repair shop and his insurance policy.
Groomsman
Bald by choice (or so he claims), golf pro by talent, and Kat's bestie by fate...? When he’s not perfecting his short game, you can find him at Pub playing pull tabs with a Long Island in hand. He is proof that you don't need hair to run a lucky gambling streak. He’s also the world’s most dedicated third wheel—always there, always uninvited, and somehow always having the best time.
Groomsman
Leo is a fellow plumber and the owner of the biggest head in our group (his literal head size). When he’s not working hard and laying pipe, you can usually find him out fishing, mostly for peace and quiet and the occasional actual fish. I’m lucky to have him by my side, fingers crossed his head fits in the photos.
Groomsman
Simon is my oldest friend, which means he knows way too much about me and somehow still agreed to stand up here with me. He’s always ready to have a drink and keep the party going, usually long after everyone else should’ve gone home. There’s no one else I’d trust more to be by my side on the big day, or to make sure the celebration doesn’t end too early.
Groomswoman
Words can't express how much we wish you were here, but we know you'll be dancing up there with us all night. We love you, Kal.
Ring Security
Bode is our godson, nephew, and most important VIP in the wedding as ring security. He may be the smallest member in our wedding but he is definitely the loudest and the life of the party. Our wedding happens to be over his birthday weekend so if he seems extra excited, he might be thinking this whole celebration is for him (please, no one tell him otherwise).
